Kentucky State Police Promotes Three Officers
(Frankfort, KY) - The Kentucky State Police announced the promotion of three officers effective June 16 at a special ceremony held today at the Central Forensic Laboratory in Frankfort. Sgt. Nathan C. Kent and Sgt. Ricki Allen were promoted to lieutenant and Detective Kevin R. Pelphrey was promoted to sergeant.
Lt. Kent, a native of Newburgh, Ind. and a current resident of Cadiz, Ky., is an eight year veteran of the Kentucky State Police and will remain assigned to KSP Post 1 in Mayfield.
Lt. Allen is a native and current resident of Bremen, Ky. A 12 year KSP veteran, he will transfer from KSP Post 2 in Madisonville to the Division of Technical Services, Criminal Identification and Records Branch in Frankfort.
Sgt. Pelphrey, a native of Keaton, Ky. and a current resident of Salem, Ky., is a nine-and-a-half year veteran of the agency and will remain assigned to KSP Post 1 in Mayfield.
KSP Commissioner Patrick N. Simpson congratulated the officers on their promotions and wished them well in their new duties. "There will be many new challenges and opportunities in this new phase of your law enforcement career," he counseled. "Positions of leadership carry with them a special trust of responsibility, fairness and integrity. We have confidence in your success and look forward to your contributions to the future of the Kentucky State Police."
