State Medical Examiner's Office, Clark County Coroner Release
Preliminary Cause of Death of Three Individuals Found in River

Frankfort, KY - Today officials with the Kentucky Medical Examiner's office and David Jacobs, Clark County Coroner, released preliminary details about the three bodies found in the Kentucky River yesterday in Clark County. Three Hispanic adult males were found wrapped in tarps and partially submerged.

The autopsies reveal that all died of multiple gunshot wounds and appear to be between 25 to 45 years of age. Time of death is still pending; it appears they were not in the water more than 12 hours prior to being found.

This is an ongoing case with many variables left to be determined. The state police, medical examiner's office and Clark County coroner continue to investigate the matter in efforts to identify the victims.

Following are some identifying characteristics:

John Doe #1: Hispanic male, height 5'9"; mustache; wearing a khaki shirt with an embroidered cowboy hat on shirt yoke, "RESISTOL" embroidered on left collar, and "rodeogear" embroidered on right sleeve.

John Doe #2: Hispanic male, height 5'11", mustache and goatee.

John Doe #3: Hispanic male, height 5'9", mustache; wearing a brown and black suede jacket with embroidered eagle wings, American flag and the words "PACIFIC FLYER" on the back.

The Kentucky State Police request that anyone with information about this case contact them at 1-800-222-5555 (in the state of Kentucky only, does not work out of state) or the Clark County coroner, David Jacobs, at 859-744-0035.
