News Release

Pedestrians Struck By Vehicle in Wayland, KY

Date of News Release: 04/22/2014

(Wayland, Ky.) - On Monday April 21, 2014 KSP Post 9, Pikeville responded to a call of two pedestrians struck by a vehicle in the Wayland community of Floyd County. InformatIon obtained at the scene indicates that Justyn McGee and Ray Mosley both of Wayland, Kentucky were attempting to cross Ky 1086 when the two individuals walked into the path of an oncoming vehicle operated by Justin Caudill of Wayland, Kentucky and were struck by the vehicle. McGee and Mosley were air lifted for their injuries and Caudill was transported to a medical facility by private vehicle for minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation by KSP Trooper John Dixon.
