Injury Collision I-64 in Montgomery County

Date of News Release: 03/09/2014

(Mt. Sterling, KY) - On Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 07:38 a.m. Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead responded to a single vehicle injury accident at the 109 mile marker on Interstate 64 in Montgomery County. Caleb Compton, 20, of Winchester, KY was traveling West on Interstate 64 when he dropped off the left shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Compton then over corrected causing the vehicle to overturn. Mr. Compton was transported by Montgomery County E.M.S. to St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling, KY for treatment of minor injuries sustained during the accident. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Michael Snowden.
