News Release

Investigation of Toddler's Death in Boyle County

Date of News Release: 06/24/2014

(Danville, KY) - The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post and Danville Police Department are investigating the death of a 3 year old girl that occurred last night in Boyle County. KSP was called just after 8:30 pm and informed that the child was unresponsive when she arrived at the Ephraim McDowell Hospital. She was air lifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with life threatening injuries. Alexa K. Raley, 3 years old of Danville, died as a result of her injuries at the UK Medical Center just after 10:30 pm. An autopsy is scheduled for today in Frankfort to establish the cause of death. Based on the initial investigation it is believed that Alexa Raley's injuries were a result of her being assaulted.
