News Release

One Killed in Trimble County Crash

Date of News Release: 02/20/2014

(Bedford, KY) - One person was killed yesterday (2/19) in a crash on Barebone Road in Trimble County. Kentucky State Police dispatchers received a call of the crash at 10:26 last night. Preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle, driven by 46 year old Kelly Buchanan of Bedford, KY, was traveling north on Barebone Road when the vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle traveled down a steep embankment and overturned before coming to final rest in a creek bed. Buchanan was pronounced dead by the Trimble County Coroner. Buchanan was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol is not suspected as a factor.

Trooper Brodie Jodry is leading the ongoing investigation. Trooper Jodry was assisted at the scene by the Bedford Fire Department, Milton Fire Department, and Trimble County EMS.
