Glasgow Man Killed in a Collision on KY 90

(Bowling Green, KY.) - On Wednesday, April 2, 2014, Kentucky State Police Trooper Lonnie Hodges responded to KY 90 west of Glasgow, KY regarding a fatal collision.
According to Trooper Hodges, Ernest Franklin (58) of Glasgow, KY was traveling east on Ky 90 when he exited the right hand shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Franklin struck an embankment and tree stump prior to coming to final rest in a small pond. Mr. Franklin was pronounced dead by the Barren County Coroner's Office.
According to Barren County Sheriff Kent Keen, Mr. Franklin was employed as a Deputy with the Sheriff's Office and was working at the time of the collision.
An autopsy is scheduled in Louisville, KY on April 3, 2014. The investigation is still ongoing and is being led by Trooper Lonnie Hodges.
