News Release

Two Central City Residents Charged With Drug Offenses

Date of News Release: 08/22/2014

Central City, KY (Muhlenberg County) - Through investigations, The Kentucky State police obtained a search warrant and arrest warrants on two Central City residents.

On Thursday, August 21, 2014, at approximately 1:35 p.m., The Kentucky State Police along with Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of James Case. The two subjects who had arrest warrants on them were located inside. During the search, officers located approximately 9 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a small amount of cash.

Detective McPherson arrested and charged the following individuals:

James Case, 28, of Central City, KY

  1. Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st offense Meth (greater than 8 oz)
  2. Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st offense Meth (less than 8 oz)

Amanda McGehee, 34, of Central City, KY

  1. Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st offense Meth (less than 8 oz)

Both subjects were lodged in the Muhlenberg County Jail.
