News Release

Suspicious Vehicle Complaint Leads To Arrest Of Two Individuals

Earlington, KY. (Hopkins County) - The Kentucky State Police arrested two men on multiple charges after receiving a call of a suspicious vehicle.

On Monday, August 4, 2014, at 6:02 a.m., KSP Post 2 Madisonville received a call of a suspicious vehicle on Flat Creek Road approximately one mile east of Earlington. The vehicle was parked in the travel portion of the roadway. Trooper First Class John Komar was dispatched to the complaint.

Upon arriving, Tfc. Komar discovered two males passed out in the vehicle. The driver, Joshua T. Skinner, 34, of Madisonville, KY, was charged with the following offenses:

  1. Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense - Meth
  2. Possession of Marijuana
  3. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  4. Tampering with Physical Evidence
  5. Carrying A Concealed Weapon
  6. No Registration Plates
  7. Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 1st Offense
  8. Public Intoxication
  9. Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle Prohibited

The passenger, Daniel T. Morseman, 37, of Hanson, KY, was charged with the following offenses:

  1. Possession of Marijuana
  2. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  3. Public Intoxication

Both subjects were lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.

The Hopkins County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
