News Release

Single Vehicle Injury Collision

Date of News Release: 08/02/2014

Dunmor, KY (Muhlenberg County) - On August 1, 2014, at 11:13 P.M., Kentucky State Police received a report of a single vehicle collision with injuries on US 431 South, one mile south of KY 949. Troopers Jon McGehee and Jacob Fortney responded to the scene to find two occupants trapped inside the vehicle that had overturned on its top. Anthony T Jones, 18, and Nicholas W Miller, 25, both of Beechmont, sustained non life threatening injuries during the collision and were extracted from the vehicle by the Dunmor Volunteer Fire Department. Both occupants were then transported to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital by MCH Emergency Medical Services. The operator, Mr. Jones, stated a deer entered the roadway and he swerved to avoid the deer. The vehicle exited the roadway, overturned, and traveled down a rock embankment. Quality's Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
