Single Vehicle Injury Collision On US 62

Depoy, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on US 62, in Depoy, on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at approximately 3:15 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Ross Ashby, 33, of Powderly, KY, was operating a 2005 Ford F150 eastbound on US 62. Mr. Ashby swerved to avoid a vehicle in front of him that was attempting to make a left turn onto Doss Road. Mr. Ashby’s vehicle exited the right shoulder of the roadway. It traveled up and down an earth embankment which caused it to overturn. The vehicle came to rest on its top in the middle of the roadway.
Mr. Ashby, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. There were no passengers involved.
Trooper Craig Engler investigated the collision. The Greenville Police Department, the Graham Volunteer Fire Department, the Powderly Police Department, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
