KSP Post 2 Welcomes New Commander

Captain Joseph W. Gibson, Commander Post 2 Madisonville, and KSP Commissioner Rodney Brewer

Madisonville, KY – On Monday, June 16, 2014, the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville welcomed Boyd County native Joseph W. Gibson as its new commander. Captain Gibson is a 20-year veteran of the KSP and has held several assignments within the agency:

Captain Gibson stated, "It is both an honor and a privilege to serve the Madisonville Post District and is looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead. It is the agency's goal to be responsive to the public's needs and to cultivate partnerships with other agencies and entities that serve within our area."

He currently resides in Catlettsburg with his wife and two children.

The Madisonville Post serves the following counties: Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Webster.
