Single Vehicle Injury Collision On KY 181

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 181, approximately three miles north of Greenville, on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 6:05 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Ty McDaniel, 17, of Horse Branch, KY, was operating a 1995 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck northbound on KY 181 when the vehicle exited off the right shoulder of the roadway. It struck a concrete culvert and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its top off the roadway.
Mr. McDaniel, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. There were no passengers involved.
Trooper Jerrod Hearld investigated the collision. The Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, the Greenville Fire Department, the Bremen Fire Department, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
