Non-Injury Collision Leads To Felony Drug Arrest

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a two-vehicle, non-injury collision that occurred on KY 189, just south of Greenville, on Monday, June 9, 2014, at 3:00 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Julia Eberle, 24, of Madisonville, KY, was operating a 2006 Nissan Altima southbound on KY 189. Blair Garrett, 21, of Greenville, KY, was operating a 2007 Ford Fusion southbound on KY 189 in front of Ms. Eberle.
Ms. Eberle attempted to pass Ms. Garrett in the emergency lane. Ms. Eberle's vehicle struck Ms. Garrett's vehicle on the passenger side. Ms. Eberle's vehicle exited the right shoulder of the roadway and struck an earth embankment. It crossed both lanes of travel and came to rest off the left shoulder of the roadway. Ms. Garrett was able to stop her vehicle in the emergency lane.
Ms. Eberle left the scene on foot and was located behind Roland Memorial Church. Trooper Craig Engler arrested Ms. Eberle and charged her with the following offenses:
She was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
There were no injuries as a result of the collision.
Trooper Engler investigated the collision. The Greenville Police Department, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, the Greenville Fire Department, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
