Single-Vehicle Injury Collision On KY 973

Rosewood, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 973, approximately one mile north of Rosewood, on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at 1:15 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Lisa Poindexter, 52, of Palmyra, TN, was operating a 2006 Dodge Dakota northbound on KY 973 when she failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle crossed the southbound lane of traffic and exited the left shoulder of the roadway. It continued down an embankment and came to rest upright in a field.
Ms. Poindexter, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. There were no passengers involved.
Trooper Jerry Knight investigated the collision. Trooper Craig Engler, the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
