Death Investigation In Muhlenberg County

Graham, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police is investigating the death of a female that was located in the woods near the Western Kentucky Parkway (WKP).
On Thursday, March 20, 2014, at approximately 2:27 p.m., Trooper Jerry Knight stopped to check on a vehicle that was parked in the westbound, emergency lane between the 45 and 46 mile-marker on the WKP. No one was in the vehicle. While checking the area, Tpr. Knight noticed a dog on the embankment and proceeded to investigate. Upon reaching the top of the embankment, Tpr. Knight discovered a female lying on the ground. The Muhlenberg County Coroner, Tony Armour, pronounced the victim, Kimberly R. Snodgrass, 44, of Vine Grove, KY, dead at the scene. At the present time, foul play is not suspected.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville.
The investigation is continuing by KSP Detective Lonnie Kavanaugh. Muhlenberg County EMS and the Muhlenberg County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene.
