Single-Vehicle Injury Collision on US 431

Dunmor, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on US 431, approximately half a mile north of Dunmor, on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at 6:20 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Tonia Level, 41, of Russellville, KY, was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound on US 431. As she was traveling northbound, a deer entered the roadway into her path of travel. Ms. Level's vehicle struck the deer. Her vehicle came to rest in the northbound lane.
Ms. Level was transported by a private vehicle to Logan Memorial Hospital for treatment. She was wearing a seatbelt. There were no passengers involved.
Trooper Jerrod Hearld investigated the collision. The Dunmor Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
