Felony Cultivate in Marijuana Arrest

Date of News Release: 01/03/2014

Hopkinsville, KY. (Christian County) - A Kentucky State Police Trooper arrested a Hopkinsville man on charges of cultivating marijuana.

On Thursday, January 02, 2014, at approximately 9:55 p.m., Kentucky State Police Troopers responded to 24240 Coal Creek Road in Christian County on a drug complaint. A 3 room indoor marijuana grow was located in a hidden section of the garage. 38 marijuana plants of various stages were seized along with several indoor grow equipment items, and indoor grow chemicals. Additionally, a quantity of marijuana, marijuana seeds, indoor grow literature, $586.00, a shotgun, 5 rifles, and 2 handguns were seized from inside the residence.

Arrested was Anthony S. PPool, age 42 of Hopkinsville, KY. Mr. PPool is a convicted felon and was lodged in the Christian County Jail and charged with the following offenses:

  1. Cultivate in Marijuana (5 plants or more) 1st offense - C Felony
  2. Possession of Marijuana
  3. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  4. Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  5. Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
  6. Failure to Notify Address Change to Department of Transportation

Tpr. Ryan Fox is leading the investigation of this case, and he was assisted on the scene by Sergeant Daniel White, Trooper Jonathan Carlock, Trooper Jon McGehee, and Trooper Joseph Bartolotti.
