Date of News Release: 01/20/2014

(Henderson, KY) - Trooper Baker, Trooper Begley, and Trooper Hedgespeth received an anonymous tip that methamphetamine was being manufactured at Main Street in Fordsville. Troopers arrived at address and were given permission to search by Ms. Norris' father who was a resident and the property owner. Remnants from a meth lab were located in a closet and an active lab was discovered inside a rubbermaid tote in the back bedroom. Ms Norris' 2 children were taken to Ohio County Hospital by their grandparents to be evaluated. Ms. Virginia M. Norris and her friend, Ms. Tara A. Payne, were both charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and taken to the Ohio County Detention Center. The other adults in the house had no knowledge of the meth lab. Trooper Hensley responded to the scene for clean-up.
