News Release

Adair County Injury Collision Leads to Arrest

Date of News Release: 08/02/2014

(Columbia, KY.) - Tpr. Nick Hale is investigating a collision that occurred Friday night, August 1 at approximately 10:34 PM EDT, 5 miles north of Columbia on KY 55. 20-year-old Corey Spalding, of Lebanon, was traveling south on KY 55, operating a 2006 Jeep Commander when he crossed the centerline. The Jeep struck a northbound 2001 Ford Ranger operated by 29-year-old Wayne Tester of Columbia.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and were treated and released at Westlake Regional Hospital. Spalding was arrested and charged with DUI 1st and lodged in the Adair County Jail.
