Date of News Release: 07/20/2014

(Liberty, KY.) - 33-year-old Brandon C. Roy has been arrested on multiple charges following a pursuit today in Casey County. Casey County Deputies initiated a pursuit today just after 2:00 PM EDT. Troopers from Post 15 assisted in the pursuit that came to an end at approximately 2:32 PM EDT following a Stinger deployment by Tpr. John Boyd. Two of Roy’s tires were deflated on the 1992 Dodge Spirit allowing unit to surround the vehicle and bring it to a stop. During the pursuit, Roy collided with 1 State Police Cruiser and 3 Casey County Sheriff's Department Cruisers. No one was injured as a result of the collisions.

Roy was arrested at the scene and charged with 2 counts of Wanton Endangerment, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree and Resisting Arrest. Additional charges from the Casey County Sheriff's Department are pending. Roy was lodged in the Casey County Jail.
