Washington County Injury Collision

(Springfield, KY) - Tpr. Joshua Dicken is investigating a collision that occurred on Saturday, January 25 at 9:20 PM EDT on Mt. Zion Road, 3 miles south of Maud. 29-year-old Timothy Carney, of Springfield, was traveling south on Mt. Zion Road, operating a 1995 Chevy Pickup when he lost control of the vehicle due to ice on the roadway. The vehicle traveled up an earth embankment and overturned.
Timothy Carney and a passenger, 24-year-old Aaron Moore, of Springfield, were not belted and were uninjured. Another passenger, 33-year-old Nathan Carney, was ejected from the vehicle and trapped under the vehicle when it came to rest. He was transported to the airport by Washington County EMS and airlifted to U of L Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Timothy Carney was arrested and charged with DUI 2nd Degree/Aggravated and lodged in the Marion County Jail.
