News Release

Update to the Death Investigation in Wayne County

Date of News Release: 05/13/2014

(London, KY.) - The Wayne County Coroner's Office, in conjunction with the Kentucky State Medical Examiner has identified the remains as Marshall K. Alley, 69, of Monticello, KY. Marshall had been missing since February 21, 2014.

The preliminary cause of death is pending further investigation.

The investigation is continuing by KSP Detective John Barnett.

Death Investigation in Wayne County

Date of News Release: 05/12/2014

(London, KY.) - Detectives from Post 11 are investigating the discovery of a body that was found on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at approximately 7:23 PM near a creek bank in Wayne County.

The body was taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy is scheduled. Preliminary cause of death and identification of the deceased are expected later.

KSP Detective John Barnett is in charge of the investigation.
