News Release

Robbery Investigation and Arrest in Clay County

Date of News Release: 04/04/2014

(LONDON, KY.) - On Thursday April 03, 2014 at approximately 4:40 PM the Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a Robbery on Belles Fork Road in Clay County.

Upon arrival Trooper Jarrod Smith determined that the female victim had obtained a ride from George K. Wagers, 24, of Manchester. After getting inside the vehicle the suspect allegedly stopped and threatened the victim and demanded money. The victim complied and was released unharmed.

Trooper Smith located Wagers a short distance from were the robbery occurred and was arrested and charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.

Trooper Smith is continuing the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Josh Cox.
