News Release

Vehicle Pursuit and Arrest in Laurel County

Date of News Release: 03/24/2014

(LONDON, KY.) - On Monday March 24, 2014 at approximately 3:50 AM, KSP SGT Steve Walker was patrolling on KY 1956 three (3) miles north of London when he observed a 2006, Chevrolet, Impala driving in a reckless manner. SGT Walker then activated his emergency equipment in an attempt to stop the vehicle and the operator of the impala then accelerated and turned onto Glenview RD.

A vehicle pursuit was initiated and the operator of the impala continued traveling on Glenview RD for approximately two (2) miles were the operator lost control of his vehicle and traveled off the roadway into a field and overturned.

The operator then fled on foot into a wooded area where he was apprehended several minutes later after a short foot chase.

Arrested was:

Ryan E. Hall, 21, of London and charged with DUI 1st offense, No operators License, Speeding, Failure to wear a Seat Belt and Fleeing-Evading Police 1st Degree.

Joshua Sizemore, 36, of Keavy charged with Public Intoxication, Receiving Stolen Property and Persistent Felony Offender.

SGT Walker is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Chris Saunders, Laurel County Sheriff’s Office and the East Bernstadt Fire Department.
