Drug Arrest made in Knox County
Date of News Release: 03/28/2014
(Artemus, Ky.) - On March 28, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. Trooper Jake Wilson from Post 10 Harlan along with the Knox County Sheriff's Department responded to a residence at York Hollow Road in Knox County. Tpr. Wilson had received information that drug activity was taking place at the residence. Tpr. Wilson made contact with the owners, Scotty and Tammy Smith. During the investigation Tpr. Wilson and Sheriff's deputies located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and several different types of pills inside the house.
Scotty Smith, 44, and Tammy Smith, 38, from Artemus were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offence (methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, drug paraphernalia, and prescription not in proper container.
Both are lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. Case is still under investigation by Trooper Jake Wilson.
