News Release

Two Men Arrested for Criminal Trespass

Date of News Release: 04/25/2013

(Johns Creek, Ky.) -- On Thursday April 25, 2013 Post 9 Pikeville received a suspicious person call from Johns Creek Elementary stating that two males had been on school property and crossed the road onto the Pike County Landfill. Kentucky State Police Division of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Sgt. Keith Justice responded to the area along with CVE Officer Marty Combs and located the two males walking on Pike County Landfill property. The two males fled on foot from the officers. CVE Officer Marty Combs located and arrested 34 year old Jason Benton of Varney, Ky. and lodged him in the Pike County Detention Center on one count of Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree. KSP Troopers and Detectives located and arrested 24 year old Jeremiah D. Young of Phelps, Ky. and lodged him in the Pike County Detention Center on one count of Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree. CVE Officer Combs also charged Young with one count of Fleeing or evading Police, one count of Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Offense, one count Menacing, one count Disorderly Conduct, and one unrelated charge of Escape 2nd Degree from the February 14, 2013 escape from the Pike County Dention Center Work Release.
