News Release

Post 9 Participated in the 2013 Special Olympics

(Paintsville, Ky.) -- On Saturday April 20, 2013 Post 9 Troopers and Supervisors participated in the 2013 Special Olympics at Johnson Central High School. Post 9 personnel participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run and with handing out the award presentations to the athletes. There were 300 athletes and nearly 500 people in attendance for the day's events. Pikeville Post 9 Captain Curtis O'Bannon said, "Post 9 is honored to participate with the Special Olympics. Witnessing the joy these men, women, and children show is inspirational to our lives."
