Mt. Sterling Man Injured in a Collision on the Mountain Parkway

Date of News Release: 09/01/2013

(Stanton, KY) - At 09:11 a.m. on Sunday, September 01, 2013 Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead received a report of a single vehicle injury accident near the 19 mile marker on the Mountain Parkway in Powell County. Rickey D. Trent, age 57, of Mt. Sterling was traveling east in a 2009 Dodge Caliber when veered into the median and over corrected striking the eastbound guardrail and then the eastbound embankment. Mr. Trent was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester by Powell County E.M.S. for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained during the accident. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Jason Brown.
