KSP Conducting Search in the Brookelyn Farthing Missing Person Case

(Berea, KY) -- On Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at 7:00 am EDT the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post began conducting a ground search in the Berea area in reference to the Brookelyn Farthing missing person investigation. A command post has been established at the Indian Fort Theatre which is located at 2047 Big Hill Road/Hwy 21 East of Berea.

Interested media may meet at the command post with Trooper Blanton for updates on the search.

This search is being conducted in conjunction with the Madison County Emergency Operations Center.

Public Assistance Requested in Madison County and Surrounding Areas

(Richmond, KY.) -- The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is requesting the public's assistance in searching for a missing Madison County woman, Brookelyn Farthing. Ms. Farthing was reported missing on Saturday, June 22, 2013. She was reportedly last seen in southeastern Madison County wearing a gray Madison County FFA t-shirt and denim shorts.

KSP is requesting that property owners in the Estill, Jackson, Rockcastle, and Madison counties check their own property for any sign of the missing woman. Particular attention should be paid to freshly turned earth and unusual smells, ditch lines and remote areas.
