KSP Richmond Post Activity for June 2013

(Richmond, KY.) -- Captain Lisa Rudzinski, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of June, 2013.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,447 citations of which 182 were for speeding and 9 for no child restraint. Troopers issued 285 citations for no seatbelts. 19 individuals were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 396 courtesy notices, and assisted 45 stranded motorists, while inspecting 1,783 vehicles.
Richmond Post investigated 44 traffic collisions in the month of June.
Detectives and Troopers investigated 960 complaints, opened 66 criminal cases, and made 170 criminal arrests.
