Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Wreck in Lincoln County

(Stanford, KY)-- On Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 00:20 am. EST the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post responded to a fatal collision on KY 1781 in Lincoln County.
Initial investigation has revealed that a vehicle operated by Clarence Baugh, 27 years old of Somerset, dropped off the shoulder of the road and overturned several times before coming to final rest in a creek. The operator, who was not wearing his seatbelt, died at the scene. There were no other occupants of the vehicle and alcohol use is believed to be a factor.
Trooper Jeff Stith is the investigating officer and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Frank Thornberry, Trooper Josh Chenault and the Lincoln County Coroner.
