News Release

Three Arrested in Trimble County Drug Bust

Date of News Release: 11/19/2013

(Bedford, KY) - Kentucky State Police Post 5, the Trimble County Sheriff's Department and the Northern Kentucky Drug Task Force teamed up yesterday (11/18) in the arrest of three people at 849 Hardy Creek Road in Bedford, KY. The units went to the home to execute a search warrant after receiving information that the individuals at the residence were selling pills. Upon entering the home, the team found several hundred pills and a small amount of marijuana. Two vehicles, a four-wheeler, a moped, five firearms and over $4,000 in cash were seized from the property.

Three people at the home were arrested: Anthony Merrill, 47 years old from Bedford, KY; Anthony Merrill Jr., 22 years old from Bedford, KY; and Don Brown III, 21 years old from Dayton, KY. All three were charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Possession of Marijuana. They were lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.

Trooper Jim Phelps is leading the ongoing investigation.
