News Release

Motorcycle Crash In Meade County Claims The Life Of New Mexico Man

Date of News Release: 06/01/2013

(FLAHERTY, KY) -- On Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at approximately 9:30 p.m. ET Post 4 received a call from the Meade County Dispatch requesting that we respond to an injury crash near the 4765 block of Flaherty Road. Upon arrival, Units discovered that a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle was eastbound on Flaherty Road. The operator failed to negotiate a curve and traveled straight off the roadway, lost control and overturned. The operator, Robert G. Goff, 58, of Ruidoso, New Mexico was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at approximately 10:36 p.m. ET. Goff was not wearing a helmet. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected; however, toxicology results are pending. Tpr. Stratford Young is conducting the ongoing investigation.
