Over 600lbs of Prescription Medication Collected

Date of News Release: 10/28/2013

(Bowling Green, KY) -- Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green, along with Bowling Green Police Department, and Warren County Sheriff's Office, recently took part in the DEA Prescription Drug Take Back.

This is the seventh time that these three agencies have participated in this campaign. These agencies also have permanent take back boxes located at each department. This campaign yielded over 600 pounds of prescription medication that will be turned over to the DEA for safe disposal.

"With over 600 pounds of medication turned into these locations; it just proves that citizens are working in conjunction with law enforcement to combat prescription drug abuse. These campaigns along with the permanent take back boxes are truly a success," commented Captain Bobby Murray.
