Single Vehicle Injury Collision in Hart County

(Bowling Green, KY) -- On Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 6:39 A.M., Kentucky State Police responded to KY 88 (Cub Run Highway) near Roseburg Road in reference to a single vehicle injury collision.
According to Trooper First Class Joel Huff, Crystal Payton 35 of Cub Run was traveling east when she attempted to avoid a small dog in the roadway. Payton lost control of her 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier and exited the left side of the roadway and traveled down a steep embankment. While traveling down the embankment the vehicle overturned on its top and struck some trees. Payton and two juvenile passengers were transported to Twin Lakes Regional Hospital in Leitchfield for treatment of their injuries.
TFC. Huff is leading the investigation and was assisted on the scene by the Cub Run Fire Department, Hart County EMS, and R&B Towing.
