News Release

Injury Collision on Glasgow Road in Warren County

Date of News Release: 04/02/2013

(Bowling Green, KY) -- On Tuesday, April 02, 2013, at 1:22 P.M., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Trooper First Class Tomie Walters responded to the 11000 block of Glasgow Road in Warren County regarding to an injury collision.

According to TFC Walters, Danny Wood (22) of Glasgow was traveling westbound on Glasgow Road. Scott Lucas (43) of Breeding, KY was traveling eastbound on Glasgow Road. Mr. Wood was traveling at a high rate of speed and fish tailing as he entered the curve. Mr. Wood ran off the westbound shoulder before crossing the center line into Mr. Lucas' lane of travel. Mr. Wood's vehicle struck the trailer of Mr. Lucas's vehicle.

Mr. Lucas crossed the westbound lane before traveling down a slight embankment where it crashed into a tree. Mr. Wood ran off the eastbound shoulder down a slight embankment crashing its front end through a fence. Scott Lucas and his passenger Jimmie Rich of Tompkinsville, KY, were taken to the Bowling Green Medical Center by Medcom where they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Danny Wood was arrested for DUI 1st and lodged in the Warren County Jail.
