Pursuit Lead to Arrest in Warren County

(Bowling Green, KY) -- On Tuesday, April 02, 2013, Kentucky State Police Trooper Brett Coomes was responding to an injury collision, when Kevin Porter (24) of Portland, TN observed Trooper Coomes emergency equipment activated behind him. Mr. Porter then accelerated his Nissan Altima passing a vehicle on a double yellow line.
Trooper Coomes and Mr. Porter then merged onto I 65 south at the 22 mile point and Mr. Porter finally pulled his vehicle over without incident at the 17 mile point.
It was discovered at the stop, that Mr. Porter was wanted on methamphetamine charges and other traffic violations. He was arrested and lodged in the Warren County Jail.
