News Release

Felony Drug Arrest in Hart County

Date of News Release: 03/16/2013

(Bowling Green, KY) -- On Thursday, March 14, 2013, Kentucky State Troopers Daniel White and Jeremy Smith conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 31-W in Bonnieville, in Hart County. The vehicle was being operated by Keith G. Riggs (35) of Bonnieville.

Mr. Riggs was arrested for DUI, and through their investigation, KSP Troopers found evidence of manufacturing of meth, possession of meth, and trafficking in meth. Troopers located several items of methamphetamine, meth precursors, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and $1,666.00 cash in the truck.

Two passengers, Leslie Riggs (25) of Bonnieville and Timmy Oldham (33) of Bonnieville were also arrested.

All three were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful possession of meth precursors, possession of a controlled substance, 1st deg., trafficking in a controlled substance-meth, 1st deg., possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were all charged with complicity to the above listed charges. In addition, they were all charged with being persistent felony offenders.

Keith Riggs was also charged with tampering with physical evidence, DUI, Reckless Driving, and failure to wear seatbelts. All three were lodged in the Hart County Jail.

Tpr. Daniel White is investigating this case. He was assisted by Tpr. Jeremy Smith, Tpr. Graham Rutherford, Tpr. Justin Rountree, and Munfordville P.D. Officers Steven Shields and Shaun White.
