News Release

Single-Vehicle Injury Collision on KY 171

Date of News Release: 10/16/2013

Greenville, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 171, approximately two miles south of Greenville, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Paige Wells, 18 of Central City, KY, was operating a 2005 Pontiac G6 northbound on KY 171. Ms. Wells stated that another vehicle ran her off the roadway. Her vehicle exited the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a ditch. It came to rest upright, off of the roadway.

Ms. Wells, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. There were no passengers involved.

Tpr. Craig Engler investigated the collision. Tpr. Jerrod Hearld, the Greenville Fire Department, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
