News Release

Single-Vehicle, Injury Collision on KY 902

Date of News Release: 10/16/2013

Dycusburg, KY. (Crittenden County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 902, approximately 5 1/2 miles east of Dycusburg, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at 7:25 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Nicholas A. Darnell, 20 of Fredonia, KY, was operating a 1996 Ford Ranger eastbound on KY 902 when the vehicle exited off the right shoulder of the roadway causing Mr. Darnell to lose control. The vehicle struck a concrete bridge end.

Mr. Darnell, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Henderson, KY for treatment. There were no passengers.

Trooper First Class Darron Holliman investigated the collision. Fredonia Fire & Rescue, Princeton Fire & Rescue, and Crittenden County EMS assisted at the scene.
