Beech Creek, KY (Muhlenberg County) - On October 12, 2013 at 7: 15 PM, Ms. Mallory succumbed to her injuries at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Two-Vehicle, Injury Collision on Merle Travis Highway

Beech Creek, KY (Muhlenberg County) – The Kentucky State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on Merle Travis Highway, near Beech Creek Browder Road, on Friday, September 27, 2013, at 4:25 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Jason A. Dragoo, 37 of Central City, KY, was operating a 2008 Chevy Cobalt eastbound on Merle Travis Highway. Marjorie B. Mallory, 82 of Beech Creek, KY, was operating a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass westbound on Merle Travis Highway. Mr. Dragoo crossed the center line into the path of Ms. Mallory, who was unable to avoid a collision, and the vehicles struck head on.
Mr. Dragoo and Joe Mallory, 54 of Drakesboro, a passenger of Ms. Mallory, were transported via ambulance to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Ms. Mallory was transported via PHI Air Medical to St. Mary’s in Evansville for treatment. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Trooper John McGehee investigated the collision. Trooper Jerry Knight, Detective Brandon McPherson, Beechmont Fire Department, Muhlenberg County EMS, and PHI Air Medical assisted at the scene.
