News Release

Hopkins County Felony Drug Arrest

Date of News Release: 10/07/2013

(Nebo, KY) - On October 6, 2013, Post 2 received an anonymous complaint of possible drug activity at 445 N Hoffman St, Nebo in Hopkins County. Troopers arrived on scene to investigate the complaint and made contact with homeowner David Simms Jr. and Mindy Davis. Through investigation and information from a third party, troopers were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence.

Inside of the residence troopers located suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. Troopers also located drug paraphernalia and items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

David B Simms Jr. age 33 of Nebo, KY was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession Controlled Substance 1st, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession Anhydrous With Intent to Manufacture, Prescription Medication Not in Proper Container, Controlled Substance Endangerment to Child 4th Degree.

Mindy R Davis age 28 of Nebo, KY was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession Controlled Substance 1st, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession Anhydrous With Intent to Manufacture, Prescription Medication Not in Proper Container, Controlled Substance Endangerment to Child 4th Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Both were lodged into the Hopkins County Detention Center.
