News Release

Princeton Woman Killed in Collision on US 62

Date of News Release: 10/04/2013

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatality collision that occurred on US 62, approximately one mile east of Princeton. KSP was contacted by the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department on Friday, October 4, 2013, at approximately 1:33 p.m. and requested to conduct the investigation.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Kimberly D. Lamb, 36 of Princeton, KY, was operating a 1992 Toyota passenger car eastbound on US 62 when the vehicle exited the left side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a guardrail and overturned several times. It came to rest on its top down an embankment.

The Caldwell County Coroner's Office pronounced Ms. Lamb dead at the scene. At the present time, it is not known if Ms. Lamb was wearing a seatbelt.

Trooper First Class Darron Holliman is investigating the collision. The Caldwell County Sheriff's Department, Princeton Fire & Rescue, Caldwell County EMS, the Caldwell County Coroner's Office, and the State Highway Department assisted at the scene.
