Execution of Search Warrant Leads to Felony Drug Arrest

Date of News Release: 09/06/2013

Dawson Springs, KY. (Hopkins County) – The Kentucky State Police arrested two Dawson Springs men on drug-related charges.

On Friday, September 6, 2013, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Trooper Jonathan Carlock, Trooper Bob Winters, Trooper Jonathan Murphy, and Trooper Cody Kromer executed a search warrant at a residence located on Racetrack Road in Dawson Springs.

Upon executing the search warrant, officers located suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun. James A. Fassold, 44 of Dawson Springs, and James D. Todd, 28 of Dawson Springs, were arrested without incident.

Trooper Carlock charged Mr. Fassold with the following offenses:

  1. Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2st Offense – Meth
  2. Possession of Marijuana
  3. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  4. Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon
  5. Receiving Stolen Property Under $500

Trooper Carlock charged Mr. Todd with the following offenses:

  1. Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense – Meth
  2. Possession of Marijuana
  3. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  4. Tampering with Physical Evidence

Both Mr. Fassold and Mr. Todd were lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
