News Release

Two Injured in a Collision in Muhlenberg County

Date of News Release: 07/15/2013

(Madisonville, KY) -- The preliminary investigation revealed a Juvenile was operating a 1998 Ford Taurus North on Merle Travis Hwy. As the juvenile was approaching the intersection of Merle Travis Hwy and KY 176, he began to apply the vehicle's brakes. The vehicle did not have enough time to stop and began to slide. The vehicle slid through the intersection, where it crossed KY 176, and exited the roadway. The vehicle then struck an earth embankment. Both were transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatments injuries sustained in the collision.
