Single-Vehicle Injury Collision on KY 1163

Beech Creek, KY (Muhlenberg County) -- The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 1163, in Beech Creek, on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 3:50 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Kenneth Allen, 40 of Beech Creek, KY, was operating a 2002 Ford Taurus southbound on KY 1163 when his right-side tires dropped off the roadway. The vehicle then struck a culvert on the right side of the roadway.
Mr. Allen was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt. There were no passengers.
Trooper Jacob Fortney investigated the collision. The Beechmont Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
