DUI Injury Collision on US 60 in Livingston County

Date of News Release: 07/31/2013

(Hickory, KY.) -- James Britt was traveling west on US 60 and was attempting to make a left turn into the Ledbetter Minit Mart. Gary Kolb was traveling east on US 60. As Mr. Britt applied his brakes, his vehicle began to skid and crossed into the eastbound lane, striking Mr. Kolb's vehicle head-on. Mr. Kolb along with a passenger, were transported to Lourdes Hospital for minor injuries by Livingston County EMS. Mr. Britt was treated for his injuries at Baptist Health and was released. After his release, Mr. Britt was arrested by Ky State Police and lodged in the McCracken County Jail on charges of DUI 1st offense and Failure of Owner to Maintain Insurance. Trooper Ramsey was assisted on scene by Livingston County Sheriff's Department, Ledbetter Fire Department and Livingston County EMS.
