KSP makes drug arrests

Date of News Release: 07/11/2013

(Murray, KY.) -- On July 10, 2013 at approximately 9:17 am, Kentucky State Police stopped a vehicle on 12th Street in Murray of which the driver was unrestrained. During roadside investigation, it was determined the driver, Christopher Reed of Murray, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Mr. Reed was transported to Calloway County Jail and while being processed, numerous prescription medications were located in his possession. Along with the warrant, Mr. Reed was also charged with Promoting Contraband 1st Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container, Failure to Wear Seat Belts, Failure to Notify Address Change to Department of Transportation, and Operating on a Suspended License. The investigation continues by Trooper Jody Cash.
