One Injured in a CVE Collision on State Route 125 in Fulton County

Date of News Release: 06/22/2013

(Hickory, KY.) -- Marvin Lynch was traveling north on State Route 125 when he met an oncoming vehicle which was driving close to the center line. In an attempt to avoid a collision, Mr. Lynch steered right which caused his tires to drop off the right shoulder. Mr. Lynch attempted to steer the semi back onto the roadway, but crossed over both lanes and entered a ditch. Mr. Lynch again attempted to steer back onto the roadway, but over corrected, causing the semi to overturn. The semi came to a final rest with the tractor in the northbound lane and the trailer blocking both lanes. The roadway was closed for several hours due to the load of grain which was spilled into the roadway from the trailer. CVE Officer Payton was assisted on scene by Fulton County Sheriff's Department and Parkway Regional EMS.
